Study programme Geoinformatics and Surveying
What do we actually do?
Essentially, an engineer for geoinformatics and surveying documents and analyses the “what”, “where” and “how” of things on, over and under the earth. This study of geoscientific or general space-related data and facts offers an enormous potential, as more than 80% of all everyday events are related to space and therefore depend on geoinformation. Prominent examples are GPS/Galileo applications as used in vehicle navigation or other matters, when necessary in combination with mobile internet applications (mobile phones, smart phones, PDAs) such as Google Earth or Googlemaps.
