Fee-paying student
You would like to study at a foreign university with which we do not have a partnership agreement? This is not a problem!
You can organise your stay abroad individually and then apply as a so-called “fee-paying student” at the foreign university.
In this case you must probably reckon with having to pay study fees and sort out organisational issues yourself. You will also have to make arrangements with the International Office for the recognition of your credits achieved abroad.
Please note that foreign universities will have different application deadlines. As for financing, you can either ask for the free mover scholarship programme at the International Office and/or you can apply for a scholarship for a semester or a year on your own initiative at the DAAD. This must be done at least a year in advance.
We will be glad to support you in whatever way we can.
