European Computer Driving License - ECDL

Certified IT Competence

In school, in the university and above all on the job, nothing is possible without sound computer skills. The European Computer Driving License (ECDL®) is the right answer to this challenge. It meets the standards set by many businesses. It was created by European professional associations for informatics, which also are responsible for continually adapting the certification to new demands. The ECDL® is already recognized in 138 countries.

The ECDL® at the Economics Faculty

The Economics Faculty is certified as an authorised test centre for the ECDL®.

The preparatory course in Information Systems is designed to teach you necessary IT skills at the beginning of your studies.

The ECDL® was introduced in the Economics Faculty with the aim to offer you a qualification which is regarded as good or excellent by businesses and which documents standard software skills unequivocally.
Students who have earned the ECDL possess competitive basic and application skills in information technology which can be compared and verified and which enable them to work more productively.

With the introduction of the ECDL®, this replaced the introductory courses and the certificate issued by the Economics Faculty.
