In order to study you must

1. fulfil the requirements,
2. apply and
3. register yourself / matriculate.

1. Conditions: university entrance qualification

In order to apply you must have completed one of the following academic qualifications (see §65 Hochschulgesetz Rheinland-Pfalz):

• advanced technical college entrance qualification
• restricted technical college entrance qualification
• special entrance for employed persons without Abitur (BFHStudVO)

Subject-specific additional conditions

• Qualification test for the study programmes of the School of Design (application)

2. Application for Bachelor and Master study programmes

Application deadlines

• Application deadline for the following winter semester is always the 15th July of each year. Application deadline for study programmes of School of Design is 1st June.
• Application deadline for the following summer semester is usually the 15th January of each year. Application deadline for study programmes of School of Design is 1st December.
• For the following study programmes the application deadline for the following summer semester is the 15th December of each year: Business Administration BIS

Application for postgraduate studies

• You can choose from the entire range of courses for postgraduate studies.

Application of foreign and stateless study applicants

• Foreign or stateless applicants (without a German university entrance qualification) must apply via UniAssist.

3. Registration/ Matriculation

If you have been accepted for a course of study, you will be informed in writing by way of acceptance notification. This notification contains the matriculation period.
