The overall concept of the University of Applied Sciences Mainz is to be understood as a timetable for continuous quality improvement in terms of a “university audit” and is therefore subject to dynamic development.
Overall concept “university audit”
This consists of 8 guidelines for the relevant key issues in line with university policy such as studies, teaching, research et al. (left-hand column) in contrast to up-to-date data including facts and figures for each individual area (right-hand column). The university management decides on a yearly basis which of the stated objectives in particular shall be further developed and which results are aimed at. This means that the objectives set forth in the overall concept are subject to continuous review, are put to the test in practice and have direct consequences for university policy (e. g. in the case of hiring procedures). This enables the university to carry out permanent strength/weakness analyses, set new consecutive targets, create new structures for their implementation and document the approaches to the solutions.
