General information
The Board of Trustees serves the purpose of creating a link between the university and social bodies. It was established in the course of the university becoming independent and was constituted on 11th June 2007. It is the task of the Board of Trustees to view developments within the university in the areas of teaching and research, transfer of the research results, continuing scientific education as well as basic and organisational issues with a critical-constructive approach. It provides recommendations and comments on central issues from the point of view of the public and is involved in target-orientated cooperation with economy and other regional institutions.
The board consists of 13 trustees who are appointed members for a period of five years. One of them is elected as the presiding member and two others as vice chairpersons.
