IFAMS
Institute for applied management science and social entrepreneurship
Since 2001 the IFAMS has been giving students at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz the opportunity to extend their theoretical knowledge by gaining corresponding practical experience through participation in project and research work and thereby provide them with a better career start on completion of their studies.
Interested and well-trained students who already have some project experience are sought after by competent partners from research, industrial and service companies. As research assistants, they already have the opportunity during their studies to work with social institutions and public enterprises and authorities and contribute to achieving their objectives.
It is intended in all projects (as work-study projects) for students to be directly involved in the tasks of the project management or actually to carry these out themselves. They are mostly advanced students – that is, they already have project management experience in the current projects.
Goltermann Foundation
The aim of the Goltermann Foundation established at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz by Prof. Dr. Stefan Schick and Prof. Dr. Hans-Christoph Reiss is to promote research and teaching in economics. Interdisciplinary projects dealing with employee participation in companies are the main focus.
