The study programme, which lasts 6 semesters, teaches competence in a capacity to take action in an industry that is in a state of constant and innovative change. The goal is the individual development of reflectiveness, the development of a personal creative style and expertise in the handling of time-based media. A strong connection between creative talent and skills and broad technological grasp, scientific analysis and the ability to reflect, organisational skill and the ability to assert oneself, which is particularly necessary for media designers, is aimed at.

Besides experimental and practical projects, interdisciplinary projects with external companies to realise concrete schemes are undertaken. Economic issues of occupational media practice and legal and organisational aspects are also considered.
