Bachelor study programme Communication Design

Communication Design is visual and verbal designing with a communicative intention.

Communication Design allows or improves the transmission of subject matter and makes this transmission more intelligible, more convincing and more effective. The focus of the study programme and its scientifically-based methodology is on learning, applying and refining the appropriate artistic and technical means. This allows individualised studying and is orientated toward professional reality.

Today, Communication Designers work in the area of conventional print media as well as in all areas of electronic media and in recent years, web-design and interactive design. Professional prospects are good. Graduates find employment in publishing of books, newspapers and magazines, in television, in advertising agencies and in design offices.

The study programme lasts seven semesters including one work internship semester and leads to the degree “Bachelor of Arts”.
